Putnam County Middle College Academic Eligibility

PCMC logoTo be eligible for the Putnam County Middle College, the student must:

  • Be a rising junior in one of the following Putnam County high schools:
    • Cookeville High School
    • Monterey High School
    • Upperman High School
    • VITAL School
    • White Plains Academy
  • Have appropriate college-level placement scores (at least one of the following):
    • ACT scores: 18 English, 19 Reading, 19 Math, or
    • ACCUPLACER: 250 Writing, 250 Reading, 250 Math, or
    • Final Sophomore High School GPA 3.6 (note: students who use GPA for this purpose during the spring PCMC application period can only receive conditional admission until the final sophomore year GPA is posted)
  • Notify their high school counselor that they are interested in applying to the Putnam County Middle College
  • Complete all components of the Putnam County Middle College application, including required recommendations
