Our "Why"
At some point in life, each of us has been lifted by someone—a teacher, a mentor, or even a stranger—who helped us reach our goals. At Volunteer State College Foundation, we strive to be that helping hand for students who dream of a college education but face financial barriers.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we award over 200 scholarships each year. During the 2025-2026 academic year, over $601,000 were giving in student support. Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has proudly awarded more than 4,100 scholarships and raised over $20 million to invest in the future of our community.
