General Studies is the most flexible area of emphasis that Volunteer State Community College offers. The course plan fulfills the general education core and allows the student to select 19 hours of electives. The elective hours permit the student to explore fields of interests or to use transfer credits to complete a Vol State degree. Electives are chosen from any of College's college-level courses, and the student's advisor can assist with course selection.
