Admissions Enrollment Steps

My Vol State

If you already applied and retrieved your student account information, then you are ready to login to My Vol State, our student portal. You will login using your VSCC Microsoft email (username@volstate.edu).

*to be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the school to admissions@volstate.edu

  • First-time Freshmen should submit official ACT scores or high school cumulative 3.6 GPA (if less than 5 years)
  • Students without test scores or whose scores are over 5 years will need to contact the Advising office to schedule the ACCUPLACER exam
  • Academic advising is not required, but is available for Transfer, Transient (visiting), or Readmitting students
  • Visit the Initial Course Placement for New Students web page for further information
  • Academic advising is required for all first-time freshmen
  • If you are not a first-time freshman, academic advising is not required, but strongly encouraged
  • Advisors will help you identify courses and create an educational plan to meet your academic goals

Register for classes

  • Register for classes early to get the best schedule, maximize financial aid options, and prepare for a successful semester
  • Know when your tuition is due
