This annual event is open to the public and everyone is invited.

The Vol State Theater is excited to present, “The Rainbow Fish,” a one-act stage adaptation of the beloved children’s book written by Marcus Pfister. This will be an audience-immersive performance following the most popular fish on the reef, the Rainbow Fish. With the help of her friends, the Rainbow Fish learns that sharing and kindness are more important than just being adored.

Brianna Bollinger’s Vol State Story Is Not What You’d Expect

Brianna Bollinger is a passionate Music Business major at Vol State who released her debut single, “what did you expect” on April 8th. Brianna is in the Music Business program, but she wasn’t always pursuing a degree.

“Initially, my parents were very open-minded and supportive of whatever I wanted to do. They would always tell me I didn’t need a college degree, so I felt very empowered,” she said. “I took various musical classes without pursuing an actual degree.” However, Brianna later decided to finally work towards a degree in Music Business.

I also did a lot of theater growing up and fell in love with performing.”

Vol State Winter Showcase Concerts

Vol State Performing Arts students will share music and theatre in the Vol State Winter Showcase this weekend. The annual celebration includes performances by: Vol State Jazz, Commercial Vocal Ensemble, Bluegrass Ablaze, songwriting students, and selected scenes from Theatre students. It will be held on December 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Caudill Hall on the Gallatin campus at 1480 Nashville Pike. The Showcase is free, and everyone is invited. Masks and social distancing are recommended.
