Dana Sloan completed her radiologic technology program at Volunteer State Community College in 2022 and is now working on an Associate of Applied Science degree in nuclear medicine technology at Chattanooga State Community College’s Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Volunteer State Community College Radiologic Technology student Dana Sloan of Pleasant Shade has won the Malcolm Sloan Scholarship. Sloan was a member of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Radiology & Radiological Sciences for 42 years. He helped train many technologists and radiologists. He was known as a champion for radiologic education. He is not related to the student. The $3000 award from Vanderbilt was presented recently by members of the Vol State Health Sciences faculty.
