Radiologic Student Awarded Sloan Scholarship

Volunteer State Community College Radiologic Technology student Dana Sloan of Pleasant Shade has won the Malcolm Sloan Scholarship. Sloan was a member of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Radiology & Radiological Sciences for 42 years. He helped train many technologists and radiologists. He was known as a champion for radiologic education. He is not related to the student. The $3000 award from Vanderbilt was presented recently by members of the Vol State Health Sciences faculty.
