Vol State Student Receives Prestigious National Scholarship
Volunteer State Community College student, Savannah Stover of Nashville, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. The highly competitive national award provides students with up to $40,000 a year to complete their bachelor’s degrees. Over 1,300 students from 370 community colleges applied for the 2021 scholarship. Only 72 students were selected. The Cooke Foundation evaluated each submission based on students’ academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, and leadership.
