The Warf Math and Science Building at Volunteer State Community College has undergone a $6 million renovation. The public is invited to see the results during a Grand Reopening Celebration on Friday, October 18. The renovation provides more than 9000 square feet of additional space. That includes a new Mechatronics lab with plenty of room for robotics and other training equipment. The work also upgraded the entire building, adding two new science labs, two student study areas, and more than 30 faculty offices. There will be an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with speakers at 11:30 a.m. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will follow. Everyone is welcome to attend. No RSVP is necessary. The event will take place on the east side of the Warf Building near the Pickel Field House. There will be parking available in the Pickel parking lot.
