Vol State is looking forward to welcoming students back with in-person classes this fall!
Current students can register at any time on My Vol State. However, everyone is encouraged to register earlier than usual this year, so that you get the course times and days that you want. There are some changes to My Vol State. We have details here.
The college will be expanding the number of on-ground classes available on all four campuses for the fall semester. The college will continue to offer online classes in three versions this summer and fall: Asynchronous (online with no class meetings), Synchronous (online with Zoom class meetings), and Hybrid (in-person classes with some class meetings and work online.
As a result of a change in CDC recommendations and following guidance from the Chancellor, Vol State will return to requiring masks in indoor settings effective Monday, August 2nd. This is due to the current level of community transmission of COVID in our service area. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. As was previously the case, masks will be required at all times inside all Vol State locations except when you are in a private office or when dining. Masks will not be required out-of-doors. We hope that this will be a short-term requirement and that this precaution will help to reverse the current increase in cases in our service area. When the case counts drop, we will be able to change the mask requirement.
