The Vol State IT Academy offers courses to help people build their tech skills. Whether you run a business wanting to train and develop current employee tech skills or you personally wish to start a new career in the tech industry, the Vol State IT Academy can help you achieve your goals. Best of all it’s powered by tech talent- teachers leading courses in a way that everyone can understand. You don’t have to be a tech whiz to learn tech skills. And for people with some IT experience, we have courses that can help you advance your career. The Vol State IT Academy can get you there.
We offer non-credit classes, outside of our academic offerings, and that are not included in the TN Reconnect program. But the prices are designed to be an inexpensive way for people to get the tech skills they need. The classes show employers you have job-ready skills and they’re also a great accompaniment to your college degree or your college degree pathway.

In-person courses are developed and scheduled routinely – and created upon request from area businesses and agencies. Many of these courses take the form of a Boot Camp, covering the content/applied skills in a condensed format.
