VSCC Honors Staff Veteran as a Part of TBR’s Chancellor’s Commendation for Military Veterans for 2022

GALLATIN (Nov. 9, 2022) – Volunteer State Community College honored staff member and Army veteran, Curtis Malone today by awarding the Tennessee Board of Regent’s Chancellor’s Commendation Medal. Each of Tennessee’s community and technical colleges honored a nominated veteran today. The group as a whole is comprised of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The medal is regarded as the Chancellor’s Commendation for Military Veterans, a special recognition launched three years ago by Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Flora W. Tydings.

Vol State Employee Receives Veterans Commendation

Volunteer State Community College employee Tiffany Zwart received the 2021 Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor's Commendation for Military Veterans. It was awarded recently by Vol State president, Orinthia Montague, at the Gallatin campus. The commendation comes in the form of a special Challenge Coin presented on behalf of the chancellor, Flora Tydings.
