Phi Theta Kappa is a national academic honors society for community colleges. Vol State has a chapter. The All-Tennessee Academic Team is chosen from community college students across the state.
Volunteer State Community College students Jeremy Clark of Tennessee Ridge and Gareth Laffely of Gallatin have been named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-Tennessee Academic Team.
