The Children’s Theatre class at Volunteer State Community College is presenting an audience immersive, one-act version of Alice in Wonderland for families. Alice makes the fateful trip down the rabbit hole into a land of wonder and amazement. In this version of the classic tale, the audience participates in the magic that is Wonderland. Families take part in the tea party and croquet game and interact with beloved characters from the story. The Vol State production stars Kyra Siciliano as Alice; Del Sherman as the Red Queen; Landon Klapwyk as the Mad Hatter; Becca Moore as the Caterpillar; Emily Ruiz as the White Rabbit; and Brendan Tramel as the Chesire Cat.
The play will be performed on October 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. in the Steinhauer-Rogan-Black Building, Room 150 on the Gallatin campus at 1480 Nashville Pike. Masks are required for indoor performances. There is also a special outdoor show on October 23 at 4 p.m. in the SRB Plaza, weather permitting. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for outdoor seating. Admission is free. For more information contact: brendan.tramel@volstate.edu.
