A new lab for the Volunteer State Community College Nursing program opened recently in Livingston. A ribbon cutting was held to mark the occasion. It’s a partnership with Livingston Regional Hospital – Highpoint Health System, which has provided the location. It will be the primary hands-on training facility for the new Vol State RN Nursing A.A.S. Degree program in Livingston. The first class started this summer. The program prepares students to apply to sit for the RN exam. The courses are also designed to fit with university programs, allowing students to continue their studies for a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
