Registration is open for Volunteer State Community College spring semester classes at the Highland Crest campus in Springfield. New and readmit students should apply now. Classes start January 16.
The College is encouraging adults to consider taking college classes this spring, as a launch pad for the TN Reconnect program which begins in the fall of 2018. TN Reconnect will provide tuition-free college classes for Tennessee adults who do not already have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, and meet other eligibility requirements. Adults who want to get a head start on going back to college can take classes this spring and apply for financial aid and scholarships that may reduce costs. Those students would then be able to move into the tuition-free program in the fall, by simply filling out a TN Reconnect application and a new FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). For more information about TN Reconnect, including eligibility for adults, and links to apply to the college, visit www.volstate.edu/reconnect.
