$475,000 Building Renovation Fundraising Completed

Ron Hibbard donating a check to the Foundation

Ron Hibbard, of Ron Hibbard Toyota in Gallatin, has donated $10,000 to the Volunteer State Community College J. Howard Warf Science and Math Building renovation fund. The Toyota Dealer Match Program equaled the donation for a total of $20,000. The latest donations make $475,000 that has been raised for the campaign, completing college fundraising requirements established by the state of Tennessee for the $4.6 million project. The design process for the renovation is underway. The science labs in the building were constructed in the 1970s and have become worn and outdated. The project focus is upgrading the classroom facilities students use and improving the technology teachers need for better instruction.
