Check out these resources now, even before classes begin. These offices are designed to help specific groups of students navigate through the college experience.

Access Center (AC)

Who: All currently enrolled students with disabilities who desire improved access at Vol State are invited to register for academic accommodations through the Access Center (AC).

TRIO

Who: TRIO is a program for students who are first-generation college students, or have a low family income (PELL Eligible), or are registered with the Access Center. TRIO helps to increase educational opportunities and promote academic success by offering a wide range of services.

Adult Learners & Veterans Affairs (ALVA)

Who: Students who are considered independent (see the list of criteria on the Adult Learners Vol State Webpage) and taking classes at Vol State sometimes feel they could use some support as they navigate family, work, and college. The ALVA office is a great place to get support and get connected.
