The softball and baseball teams have completed their regular season. This month, they will be participating in their post-season tournaments.
Softball
The softball team will travel to their Region 7 Tournament, hosted this year at Columbia State Community College. The tournament runs May 5-9. Their first game is Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m.

Vol State’s Men’s Basketball Program Names Johnny Lynn as New Head Coach
GALLATIN, TN -- Volunteer State Community College’s Athletics Program announces a new head men’s basketball coach for the Pioneers. For 30 years, Lynn served as the Head Coach for Women’s Fast Pitch Softball at Vol State and coached the program to over 1,040 wins. The Vol State Pioneer softball team has been practicing hard on the field, and they have one of the most exciting games of the season coming up. Coach Johnny Lynn has been a softball coach for 28 years, and he has a lot to say about the team. “There’s some really good talent in this league,” he said. “And they’re fun to watch.
Player Kemiah Michel said that the whole team is very close. “We’re all pretty together- a big family,” she said. “There’s not a lot of drama, which I love about this team.”
