Public Invited to CHEC Earth Day Event in Cookeville

The Second Annual CHEC Earth Day Celebration will feature educational exhibits, a Green Market, artists, live music, local food vendors, and learning activities for all ages. Students, faculty, and staff at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus (CHEC) are organizing the free public event, which will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the campus in Cookeville. Earth Day has become an international event celebrated across the globe during the last week of April.

Celebrating the Earth at CHEC in Cookeville

The sun was shining as students, faculty, staff, and visitors celebrated Earth Day on Friday at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus (CHEC). The educational event featured environmental science displays, speakers, and documentary films. CHEC students designed interactive activities highlighting fun recycling techniques. Vol State at Livingston students also participated in the Earth Day activities. The projects came from a variety of classes, ranging from Chemistry to Education.

Students, faculty and staff at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus (CHEC) are celebrating Earth Day with an educational event on Friday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to see environmental science displays; meet organizations promoting a Green lifestyle; hear speakers; and watch documentary films.
