Pioneer Launch is the onboarding experience for first-time freshmen at all Volunteer State campuses: Cookeville, Gallatin, Livingston, and Springfield. It consists of three phases:
- Registration Connection
- Total Campus Experience
- Spirit Week
Registration Connection
Registration Connection is the first step in the onboarding process for first-time freshmen. All first-time freshmen will receive one-on-one academic advising on their respective campuses and leave with a finalized schedule of courses. Vol State is currently holding advising and registration for first-time freshmen entering in Fall 2025. It will continue through August 7th. Total Campus Experience
Once you have registered for classes, you will receive an invitation to participate in Total Campus Experience! Total Campus Experience is your orientation and formal welcome to the Volunteer State community. You will get a campus tour, learn about the various student success resources, get your student ID and parking pass, and much more. For Fall 2025, Total Campus Experience dates for each campus are as follows:
- August 20th
- August 19th
- August 21st
- August 19th
Once you have registered for Fall 2025 courses, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to register for Total Campus Experience. In the meantime, please take some time to preview the various Student Success Resources prior to your arrival to campus.
Spirit Week
Finally, Pioneer Launch culminates with Spirit Week, which will take place during the first week of each semester. Students will enjoy festive activities, highlighted by music, food, and games. For Fall 2025, this will take place from August 25th through August 28th on the various Vol State campuses. Please save these dates. More details to come!
