Graduate Awards for Fall 2018
Congratulations to the students who received awards during the Graduate Awards Night ceremony recently. Here are the honorees:
Jenna Carter of Westmoreland has received the James C. Moore Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor recognizes a student who has shown service to community and family.
Alyson Carter of Bethpage has received the Positive Difference Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor goes to a student who has made a difference in student activities.
Jacob Conner of Cookeville has received the Hal R. Ramer Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor goes to a graduate who has faced extreme adversity and succeeded because of fortitude in the face of adversity.
Cesar Espinosa of Cookeville has been awarded the G.Wayne Sullivan Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor recognizes the outstanding Math and Science Division graduate.
Jessica Harrison of Westmoreland has received the Patricia B. Lebkuecher Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor recognizes a student who has demonstrated academic excellence while in pursuit of an associate degree.
Austin LaCroix of Nashville has been awarded the Social Science and Education Division Excellence Award from Volunteer State Community College. The award goes to a student who shows exceptional academic merit.
Heather Spalding of Hendersonville has received the Health Sciences Division Award from Volunteer State Community College. The honor recognizes the outstanding Health Sciences Division graduate.
Kiva Swader of Murfreesboro has received the Pathfinder Award from Volunteer State Community College, given to a student who has demonstrated significant personal and academic growth and is expected to continue on a path toward greater success.
Pictured: There are 22 student Veterans eligible for graduation this fall. Two of them received special Vol State Challenge Coins during the ceremony: Bobby Wilson and Emily Perry. We thanks all of our graduating student Veterans for their service.
