The Volunteer State Community College Foundation is celebrating 30 years of service to the community with a special event on September 12. Complete the Dream will feature wine and bourbon tasting, dinner, and comedy by Rik Roberts. In 30 years the Foundation has raised approximately $16,555,863 and awarded approximately $6,350,032 in student scholarships. The other funds were used for capital projects that included new buildings, new campuses, renovations of older facilities, and many other projects that directly help Vol State students. Foundation leaders said that this was accomplished thanks, in part, to the many people who have served on the Board of Trustees over the years.

Complete the Dream will take place at the Epic Event Centre in Gallatin. It starts at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and the wine and bourbon tasting. Tickets are $75 per person. Proceeds will go to fund future student scholarships for Vol State students. For tickets call the Foundation at 615-230-3506, or visit www.volstate.edu/complete-the-dream. Sponsorships are still available. Please contact Alison Muncy at 615-230-3526 or alison.muncy@volstate.edu for more information.
