Student Media First Amendment Policy

Policy

The Tennessee Board of Regents and Volunteer State Community College recognizes and guarantees First Amendment rights to students in the publication of approved print, audio, visual, or electronic media that is partially or fully funded by the College. 

Any student who wishes to publish or receive financial support for a publication in the name of Volunteer State Community College shall submit a request and proposal justifying the need to the Vice President for Student Services who shall make a preliminary appraisal of the request and forward it to the President’s Cabinet for final approval.
