Dog Walk Fundraiser at Vol State April 27

Vol State LogoSpring and dog walking go well together and on Sunday, April 27 students at Volunteer State Community College will be combining the two with a fundraising event. The “Wag and Walk” will support Sumner County Animal Control and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America chapter at Vol State. It’s all organized by Vol State Vet Tech students. There will be contests, face painting and pet information at the walk. The cost is $10 per person. Kids under 12 years-old are free. Organizers say that dogs must be well-socialized and be on a leash at all times. Owners need to bring proof of current rabies vaccination, either with a tag or certificate. The walk runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vol State campus, 1480 Nashville Pike in Gallatin. It will start near the main entrance to the college. For more information call 615-230-3261.
