Registration is now open for spring semester classes at Volunteer State Community College. Vol State will offer 29 evening classes this spring at McGavock High School. They include popular general education classes that apply to many degrees: Computer Technology and Applications, General Psychology, College Algebra, Survey of American History II, and English Composition. Specialty classes at McGavock include Fire Science courses, such as Rescue Awareness and Public Fire Education. Developmental classes this spring will be Writing I and II, and Reading II.

McGavock is a degree granting center for Vol State, which means students can earn a degree there in programs such as Business. Online classes are another popular option at Vol State. The topics range from Essentials of Biology to Principles of Economics, and include many of the college general education requirement classes. Online classes allow students to work at home and on their own schedule. The complete spring schedule of classes can be found on the college web site.

Spring classes start on January 13. The application and registration process is open now, both in person and online. To view the spring schedule of classes visit www.volstate.edu or call 615-230-3688 for more information on how to get started. The Vol State McGavock High School Center is located at 3150 McGavock Pike in Donelson.
