White House student wins Vol State leadership award

Stacy Jones of White House was recently honored with the Robert M. Ruff distinguished leadership award during the annual student leadership luncheon at Volunteer State Community College. Jones was recognized for her work as President of both the Phi Theta Kappa honors society and the Psychology Club. The Robert M. Ruff award is named for Professor of History and Political Science, Dr. Robert Ruff. The criteria for the award include dedication, dependability, sensitivity, objectivity and the ability to motivate others. Jones also served on the College Republicans and the Collegiate Ministry. She is majoring in psychology at Vol State and plans to graduate this spring and transfer to Lipscomb University. She is married to Thomas Jones, Jr. Her parents, George and Regina Looby, are from East Hampton, Connecticut.
