Gallatin Student Wins Vol State Leadership Award

Jennifer Erickson of Gallatin has been honored with the Robert M. Ruff Distinguished Leadership Award at Volunteer State Community College. Erickson is a president's ambassador at Vol State and president of the Phi Theta Kappa chapter. She is a senior senator with the Student Government Association. She maintains a 3.88 GPA and hopes to attend Lipscomb University or Belmont University in the fall. She is married to Matthew Erickson. She is the niece of Clare and David Wiedlocher of Lebanon. The Robert M. Ruff Award is named for retired Professor of History and Political Science, Dr. Robert Ruff. The criteria for the award include dedication, dependability, sensitivity, objectivity and the ability to motivate others.
