Summer classes start soon at Volunteer State Community College at Livingston and registration is open now. Students will have 30 classes to choose from. They include general education courses, such as Anatomy and Physiology and English Composition and specialty classes, such as Microeconomics and Introduction to Animal Science. Some classes run for the entire summer from June 3 to August 10. Other classes run for the first five weeks, from June 3 to July 6. There is also a second five-week version from July 8 to August 10. The five-week courses are also intensive and best designed for students who can devote the required time and energy. Summer classes are offered in traditional versions, and also online and in hybrid formats, which combine online work with traditional classroom meetings. It's all designed to increase flexibility for the summer student, allowing them to fit college in with work, family and fun. Many students from other colleges, and those about to enter college, take Vol State classes while home for the summer.

Visit www.volstate.edu/schedule for the Livingston summer schedule and www.volstate.edu for information on how to apply and register. New students will need to fill out an application, which can be done online. Students can also visit in person at 113 Windle Community Road or call (931) 823-7065 or 800-563-8220.
