Summer Class Registration Now Open for Vol State at Highland Crest

Summer classes start soon at Volunteer State Community College at the Highland Crest campus in Springfield and registration is open now. There are 24 summer classes being offered in many subject areas and they come in a couple of different time frames. Some classes run for the entire summer from June 3 to August 10. Other classes run for the first five weeks, from June 3 to July 6. There is also a second five-week version from July 8 to August 10. The five-week courses are intensive and best designed for students who can devote the required time and energy. Summer classes are offered online and in hybrid formats, which combine online work with traditional classroom meetings. It's all designed to increase flexibility for the summer student, allowing them to fit college in with work, family and fun. General education classes this summer include Essentials of Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, English Composition, Beginning Spanish, Introduction to Philosophy and Math for Liberal Arts. New students will need to apply to the college before they can register for classes. That can be done online at www.volstate.edu or in person at the Highland Crest campus.
