Students compete in Science Olympiad at Vol State

Volunteer State Community College hosted dozens of science students, from schools across the area Saturday, as they competed in the regional Science Olympiad competition. Five high schools and five middle schools sent teams to the regional event. The top teams will move on to the statewide Science Olympiad, which will be held at UT-Knoxville on April 14. The advancing teams are:

Vol State honored five top performing students with Performance Awards during the awards ceremony. The $500 awards can be used for tuition for an online, dual enrollment or summer class at Vol State.
