6th District Congressional Debate Oct. 14 at Vol State

The race for the 6th District Congressional seat will bring the candidates to Volunteer State Community College for a debate. Republican Diane Black and Democrat Brett Carter will participate in the Sumner County Publications event. Carter, of Hendersonville, and Black, of Gallatin, won their respective parties' primaries during voting that ended Aug. 5. The seat is being vacated by longtime U.S. Congressman Bart Gordon.
The debate will be moderated by Sumner County Publications General Manager Mike Towle. People are encouraged to submit questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The debate will held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 14 in the Wemyss Auditorium in Caudill Hall, on the Vol State campus at 1480 Nashville Pike in Gallatin. The public is invited to attend, but seating will be limited.
