Karen Mitchell, vice president for Resource Development at Vol State (center), recently accepted a check from R. Joseph Chickey, vice president, Trust and Wealth Advisory (left), and Eric Snyder, portfolio manager, Morgan Asset Management (right).

Regions Morgan Keegan Trust recently donated $3000 to Volunteer State Community College for scholarships. This donation will go to scholarships benefiting need-based sophomores with a 3.0 average or incoming freshmen scoring at least 20 on their ACT.

"In these economic times student scholarships are critical. Generous donations such as these provide the funds that can help students realize their dreams," said Karen Mitchell, vice president for Resource Development at Vol State.

Regions Morgan Keegan Trust is not new to giving. Since 2006, they have contributed to five Vol State scholarships and participated in several Vol State golf tournaments, which help to raise funds for more scholarships.
