This will help explain everything: programs, careers, costs and course descriptions. You can pick up a copy at Admissions, Ramer 173-B or in the Great Hall in the Ramer Building. You can also browse and download the entire catalog online.
You need to get a parking decal from Student Services located in the Wood Campus Center, room 217 or 215. You can park anywhere, unless it’s marked Faculty, Staff or Visitor. Don’t park in the disabled spots — it’s a $100 fine!
To get around on campus just visit the Campus Map. You’ll find the names of all buildings on campus and their locations.
This is where you’ll need to pay your tuition and fees. The fee payment deadlines change semester to semester. Visit the Business Office online to get the current deadline dates, tuition costs, and information on how to pay. The Business Office is located in Ramer, Room 181.
We have everything you need: textbooks, school supplies, Vol State apparel and more. Normal hours are Monday – Thursday 8am – 6pm and Friday 8am – 4pm. Located in the Wood Campus Center Room 202. You can also visit the bookstore online.
You’ll need your Student ID for college business matters, and the library, bookstore and for sports events. Just go to the Student Services Office — Wood Campus Center, room 217 or 215.

Do you need help in math, English, speech, writing, or research? Vol State’s College Success Zone provides everything from homework help to essay writing assistance. We have one-on-one, online and phone tutoring and computer programs to get you up to speed.
The Honors Program offers high academic achievers opportunities to interact with other students who have similar academic standards, small classes to ensure individualized attention, faculty who are caring and supportive, a strong academic program, and an enhanced academic record. It also provides opportunities to enhance regular courses through specialized projects.
Officers and guards patrol the campus around the clock. They also check for speeding on campus (the speed limit is 15 mph), and enforce parking regulations. Do you have paperwork to take care of but you can’t get here until after 4:30 pm? No problem! You can turn in admission or readmission applications, pick up drop/add and withdrawal forms, or pay fees in the Office of Evening Student Services. Located in the Wood Campus Center room 217, the office is open Monday – Thursday until 8 pm and until 5:30 pm on Fridays.
