George Receives Vol State Scholarship

Sandy Webster (left) presents Bethany “Beth” George (right) of Portland with a $1,000 scholarship to Volunteer State Community College. George, a certified nurse’s aide, is returning to college to become a registered nurse. The Ralph and Sandy Webster Scholarship is awarded to a Vol State student majoring in pre-med, nursing or allied health and requires the student to maintain a 3.0 grade point average each semester.
