Everyone Invited to try Distracted Driving Simulator

Vol State logoYou have probably heard warnings about texting and driving. It’s illegal in Tennessee. Volunteer State Community College is driving the point home with a special vehicle simulator available for the public to try during an event on March 26. It’s called the Save a Life Tour. The simulator allows people to see how dangerous texting can be while driving. The simulator will be open to Vol State students, high school students and the public. There is an age requirement. Participants must be at least a freshman in high school. The Save a Life Tour will be held in the Wemyss Auditorium at Caudill Hall on the Vol State campus at 1480 Nashville Pike in Gallatin. No advance registration is necessary; however, participants are advised that there could be wait times, depending on popularity.
