Hendersonville Student Named to All-Tennessee Academic Team

Joseph Olson, Vol State studentJoseph Olson of Hendersonville has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-Tennessee Academic Team. Phi Theta Kappa is the academic honors society for Volunteer State Community College. The select group is chosen from community college students across the state. The students were honored during a reception in Nashville.

When asked about his academic aspirations, Olson had this to say: “I am energetically driven to understand the universe we objectively view, but more importantly I seek to define the means of receiving information and its integration pertaining to the inner world. Specifically, by acknowledging the scientific data, I intend to expand upon the ways in which it can be applied by employing the infinite creative nature of thought. Ultimately, I seek to construct devices which promote an individual’s sense of awareness by bringing form and physical representation to aspects of the experience process that were previously intangible. In the meantime, I want to transfer to the university that best suits my aim and is financially reasonable.”
