Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment Grant program is funded by the Tennessee Lottery and administered by the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation. This program provides opportunities for students to begin working toward a college degree, while still pursuing a high school diploma, and encourages post-secondary education and the acceleration of post-secondary attainment.

TWO STEPS TO ONLINE FINANCIAL AID

  1. FAFSA on the Web (www.fafsa.ed.gov) - electronic version of the FAFSA, filing your FAFSA electronically can cut the processing time by two weeks. Before you complete your FAFSA on line, be sure that you have a PIN number to use in place of your signature.

    When completing the FAFSA application, Step Six of the application, as which schools you want to received your FAFSA information. Your must provide the six digit Federal School Code for each of the schools that you want to received your information. Volunteer State's six digit school code is 009912.

  2. Apply for a U.S. Department of Education PIN now by visiting www.pin.ed.gov. If you are a dependent student, your parents should also apply for a PIN. With your PINs, you and your parents can electronically sign your online FAFSA, making the application process simpler and faster.

AN EXIT INTERVIEW - For Student Loan Recipients Only

  1. Go to the Mapping Your Future website
  2. On the left side of the page under site menu, position your mouse over "Student Loan Counseling Interview"
  3. Click on "Stafford Exit"
  4. The page that appears will say "Welcome to Stafford Exit Counseling". Read this page.
  5. At the bottom, it shows step 1 of 5. From this point, just follow the directions as given.

When you have finished, Volunteer State will automatically receive an e-mail from Mapping-Your-Future to let us know that you have completed the process. We will then remove the "Hold" from your record, which will allow you to register.
