If you're considering college, you've already taken the first step. We're here to help you the rest of the way. We know flexibility is important to you. You're trying to juggle a job, a family and a life. We have a number of class options to help you fit college into your busy schedule. We have online classes in a wide range of subjects. We have hybrid classes that combine online and classroom work. Of course, we also offer a full range of traditional day, evening and weekend classes. You can find a complete list of everything we offer in our schedule of classes.
You may be worried at first that you won't fit in on campus. After just a few classes you'll see that everyone is welcome here. Our younger students appreciate the experience that adult learners bring to class and adult learners enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of the younger students. We have students aged 17 to 64 on campus seeking degrees during most semesters. We strive to make it a comfortable environment for everyone.
We have help available after normal business hours for working students. We call it the Office of Adult Learners and Evening Services. An evening Advisor/Counselor is available by appointment, Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in Wood Campus Center, Room 217, phone 615-230-3494. They can help with academic issues. Students can pick-up or submit applications, drop/add/withdrawal, transcript request, change of major and some financial aid forms. Students can also make deferred payments, get parking decals and photo ID cards. It's all located in Student Services in Suite 217 of the Wood Campus Center. During the school year Evening Services is open until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It's a HUB of evening student services events and get-togethers. Come for some free coffee and to chat with other students. That's why we call it the HUB for evening students.
The Office of Adult Learners and Evening Services also coordinates services with various state and federal agencies, helping students who have qualified for financial assistance with job retraining and employment programs. The coordinator can be reached at 615-230-3449.
We have a full range of free tutoring and support on campus in many subjects. You can get help with papers, math homework, study groups and research tips and sources. We call these services collectively the College Success Zone. Visit the web page for a full list of what we offer.
