Advising/Career Counseling Help
Career Counseling is available for students who are having difficulty deciding what career and/or college major to pursue. Career Counseling facilitates the student’s career search process. There are several different career assessments that can help with this issue. Limited personal counseling is available for students. The Advisor/Counselors in the Advising Center are available to assist students in many ways: advising and educational planning, career issues, and everyday problems. TRiO
The mission of TRiO Student Support Services is to provide eligible Vol State students increased educational opportunities related to academic support, career development, cultural enrichment and personal development which will enhance academic success, retention, graduation and the 4-year college transfer process. TRiO is in Wood 212 or call (615) 230 - 3737.
In order to qualify for the program, students must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or resident alien
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at Vol State
- Meet one or more of the following:
- Family income meets published Federal guidelines (low income)
- Neither parent has a four-year degree (first generation) or
- Referred by the Office of Disability services
IT Help Desk
If you have problems registering using the PRIDE Online registration system, you can visit PRIDE Online Support to get help. Also if you need technical assistance with an online or hybrid course or just need to get your PIN or Username for your accounts you can contact the IT Help Desk at (866) 451 - 5469. Their hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 7:30 am to 7:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
For technical assistance with an online or hybrid course you can contact the eLearn Help Desk at (615) 230 - 3367 24 hours a day. They cannot give information about Usernames and PIN but can give technical assistance with technical issues using eLearn.
