Enrollment Services Module
FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is the federally mandated law that requires that colleges, universities and other schools respect and keep confidential students’ records and information. Though the law is much more detailed and lengthy than what we are stating here, what you need to know as a student is that we will not share any of your personal information with anyone else but you. If a parent, friend or loved one calls any of our offices, they will not be given any information; therefore, anything that concerns your records, or even your enrollment here, will only be discussed with you. For more information about FERPA, see the College Catalog or this page from the US Department of Education.
Admissions File
Have you completed your admissions file? If you haven’t provided all of the information to our Admissions Office that they need (high school transcripts, shot records, etc.) then you will be hearing from them. Some items can keep you from registering in your first semester, so please make sure you have completed everything for your file.
