Job DescriptionOverview: Technical Analysts are the onsite, client-facing resources of our company. At NSG, we focus on developing deep relationships with our clients in order to understand and anticipate future needs within each respective organization. We pride ourselves on delivering stellar customer service, customized solutions and proactively seeking ways to increase our clients productivity. Technical Analysts develop high level relationships with clients through ongoing communications to further opportunities for NSG and advance client productivity and profitability through technology.
Work directly with customers on a consulting basis to assist with all aspects of IT infrastructure management including:
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in an efficient and timely manner.
Create and provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems
Manage and maintain a web based support queue of tickets assigned and hours billed to show initiative to address items based on priority/severity level.
Plan, coordinate and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware.
Participate in and follow implementation scripts for IT projects such as upgrades, training and troubleshooting.
Job RequirementsThe following knowledge is required:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Experience in network administration, systems analysis and design, and support activities in multi-user network environments.
Display an interest in career development, continual education, and a desire to create and implement innovative solutions.
Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and the ability to self-manage and prioritize a dynamic workload.
Exercise the highest ethical standards.
Although not required for the position, the following knowledge is preferred:
Proficiency with computing hardware including:
Desktop and Laptop computer configuration
Networking equipment: router, firewall, access points & switches
Servers: RAID configuration
Proficiency with computer software including:
Microsoft Windows Server
DHCP, DNS & AD
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Exchange Server
Microsoft SharePoint Server
TCPIP - Especially related to Internet connectivity and troubleshooting
Desktop Imaging & Standardization
Backup Software, devices and media
Well organized and detail oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving abilities
Get it done attitude and ability
Successful completion of a criminal background check
