Job Description:
WSMV-TV is looking for a progressive leader with a passion for both great visuals and great management. The Chief Photographer will be directly responsible for more than two dozen photographers, editors, and techs. We have a great team, great tools, and great content, and are looking for a creative and organized leader to take us to the next level. The Chief Photographer is expected to perform hands-on coaching, critiquing, goal-setting, and performance management on an constant and ongoing basis. In addition, this position manages a large fleet of vehicles, live trucks, cameras and other equipment. Will also contribute as an individual photographer. Must be willing to work long or unusual hours as news stories or management projects warrant. Requires occasional helicopter photography work. Must be a versatile self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple short and long-term projects at all times. -Manage team of photographers, editors and techs to ensure best employee performance and product. -Contribute as individual photographer on news and special project stories and live reports. -Maintain and manage vehicles, gear, and editing systems. -Vaious projects as assigned by News Director.

Job Requirements:
College degree. Minimum of five years experience as television news photographer. 2-3 years supervisory experience. Skills: Photography, nonlinear editing, computer skills, ENG and SNG expertise.
