Brief Company Description: EWB Engineering’s Hendersonville, TN office has an opportunity for an entry-level Electrical drafter and arc-flash model builder to join our firm. This position does not require previous electrical experience but development of the necessary AutoCAD and model building skills will be expected. The successful candidate will work on various projects for primarily industrial clients. Candidate will work directly with engineers on 2D electrical designs and arc-flash models.

Job Description:
Responsibilities • Prepare layouts and perform final CAD drafting tasks from simple instructions utilizing a broad knowledge of the CAD system. • Prepare arc-flash models using both SKM and ETAP software (training will be provided). • Successfully deliver work assignments on time and on budget. • Use AutoCAD to draft and design 2D designed systems on projects. • Demonstrate skills with thorough knowledge of procedures, practices and use of Autodesk software. • Printing, plotting, scanning and document transmission. • Design and printing of arc-flash labels. Position Requirements • High School Graduate required • Related degree or certificate from an AutoCAD focused training program • Training and 6 month to a year working experience on how to use AutoCAD is preferred. Experience on the current versions of AutoCAD (2010 – 2013) a plus • Knowledge and application of the National Electric Code (NEC) a plus • Knowledge of basic drafting standards and requirements • Demonstrated ability to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required • Enthusiastic and self-motivated • Able to work independently and multi-task • Reliable / responsible / willingness to learn • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Candidate should be a self-starter, results oriented and be able to work under tight and pressured deadlines • Candidate should be willing to work some overtime as required by deadlines This is an hourly paid position with overtime available. Pay DOE. Health benefits provided, company match 401(K) available. This position is subject to a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug test.
