Vol State Science and Math Expo, April 5

Mon, Mar 25, 2024

Vol State invites you to join our Division of Math and Science for the “Parris Powers Science & Math Expo”! The Expo is named in honor of former Vol State Chemistry Professor Parris Powers. He organized the Expo for many years and passed away in 2016.

The Science and Math Expo will be held on Friday, April 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Warf Building, on the Vol State Gallatin campus at 1480 Nashville Pike in Gallatin. The event is free and open to everyone.

We have Eclipse information and glasses, free liquid nitrogen ice cream, a tomato/gardening exhibit, a life-sized operation game, an egg drop, and much more! You can even try out some experiments. Come and gain a new perspective on science and math education.

This event has been a Vol State mainstay for many years but hasn’t been back since COVID-19. Help us relaunch this classic event and share the day with your homeschoolers, middle-schoolers, high-schoolers, or any person looking for a good time with scientific activities.
